    Carbon Accounting Scoping Form

    We take a practical, low-friction approach to carbon accounting, grounded in the data you already have.This short questionnaire helps us understand your organisation, your current data environment, and where we can add the most value.There are no right or wrong answers — just complete what you can. We’ll guide the rest.

    Section 1: Your Organisation

    Name
    How many people are in your organisation?
    List your sites and indicate if owned or rental.
    What system do you use to manage your financial data?

    Section 2: How Your Data is Set Up

    Carbon accounting builds on your existing financial and operational data. This section helps us understand how your data is currently structured.
    To what extent does your system capture quantities or usage (not just spend)?
    Do you attach invoices or supporting documents to transactions?
    How clear and specific are your transaction descriptions?
    1 = Very limited — 5 = Clear and consistent
    Do you maintain an up-to-date supplier list with key contacts?

    Section 3: Energy Use

    Energy is typically one of the most straightforward areas to establish a baseline.
    Do you have access to electricity bills across your sites?
    Do you currently use any renewable or green energy arrangements?

    Section 4: Operations & Fuel

    This relates to any direct energy use within your operations.
    Do your operations involve fuel use (e.g. vehicles, plant, equipment)?
    If yes, how is fuel use currently tracked?

    Section 5: Assets

    Understanding key assets helps improve accuracy over time.
    Do you maintain an asset register (e.g. vehicles, equipment, HVAC)?
    Does this include details such as make and model for key assets?

    Section 6: Purchases & Supply Chain

    For most organisations, supply chain emissions represent the largest opportunity for insight and impact.
    Are you able to export transaction data for a full reporting period?
    Do your purchase records include quantities or activity data?
    Would you be open to engaging suppliers over time to improve data quality?

    Section 7: Business Travel

    We’re looking to understand how travel is captured today.
    How is business travel typically managed?
    Are you able to access consolidated travel data (flights, accommodation, transport)?

    Section 8: People & Working Patterns

    This helps capture emissions associated with how your team works.
    Do you currently capture any information on employee commuting?
    Would you be open to a simple employee survey to capture this over time?

    Section 9: Waste

    Do you track waste volumes or waste streams (e.g. landfill, recycling)?
    Do your waste providers supply any reporting or data?

    Section 10: Investments (if relevant)

    Does your organisation hold investments, loans, or financed assets?
    If yes, are you able to access information related to the nature of these investments?

    Section 11: What Matters Most

    This helps us tailor the approach to your priorities.
